80 miles to Fredonia for an evening of song and wit. What a lark! I'm so glad I saw the ad in the Erie paper for this show last evening. As others have commented the core of this music is timeless. Personally SUMMER SONG and the events in my life intersected in a way that gave the song deep meaning.
I was excited myself to hear it during the Super Bowl in 2006! Chuck |

At half-time I think - they mention it in the North West Notebook clip on YouTube. But because of the dispute with Ember, I think they didn't get any royalties. Still, exposure like that can't do any harm.

I was originally going to the concert in Fredonia. I have to say the folks at the opera house are extremely lovely and thoughtful. I am going to Tampa concert because the transporation was easier.

Now that I think of it... I think Super Bowl 2006 was the year I had to watch kids. That's right, it was. I remember that we turned on the kids music channel and "I Want to Hold Your Hand" came on. (Of course is wasn't the Beatles version. It was a cover sang by children.)
Those kids danced and danced to that song. It was so cute. So, I did miss "A Summer Song" but on the bright side I got to see 2 and 3 year olds dance to The Beatles. |
