I'm in the northeastern part of Ohio, and have Time Warner Digital Cable. Be sure to set your DVR'S for 5:30 AM EST on 7/21/09. THIS TV is showing "The Patty Duke Show," episode titled "Patty Pits Wits: Two Brits Hits." I hope I got that title right. I think I like the new format, though it will take a bit of getting used to - all the extra gizmos to play with, add in, make a total horlicks of. The latter being the most likely in my case . Good to see the same friendly old smilies though, even if Spellcheck doesn't know how to spell it. Actually, it doesn't even recognise 'spellcheck'.

Yesterday I went to a family reunion. While there I went with my grandfather and great uncle to a flea market.

What do people think on the two topics?

I've been begged by my dear mother to not go into either on a podcast, for feat that my unemployable self will become even more unemployable if I say something that isn't mainstream.

Just curious. Also curious because I do want to do this as a podcast topic and I'm wondering who cares or what others 'in the community' think.

Perhaps disturbingly, I've had a thought whilst thinking about ducks.

Can someone please explain this to me?

I'm not personally a veggie, but I know a lot of vegetarians, many of whom make the argument that it is horrible to basically raise a small creature up to brutally slaughter it and consume its charred flesh (I hope you weren't having lunch).

But then I ask them "so we can only go somewhere with salads and stuff then, right?".

To which nine times...

Either of the American variety or of the proper variety?

I personally support Manchester United, the current Champions of England and possible holders of the FA Cup if all goes well on Saturday.

For gridiron football, only my alma mater the University of Florida (currently both football champions and repeat basketball champions) really interests me anymore.

This is a real social problem that our society faces today.

Everywhere I look there are lawless gangs of ducks roaming the countryside.

Has this always been the case? Is there a method to their madness? Or is it all a part of God's grand plan?

I'm not sure any of us have the real answer, but it could certainly be interesting trying.
